Travelling Ministry is not Dead! by Keith Hazell

Over many years I have had the pleasure of moving internationally in the Prophetic Ministry and with each year I become so satisfied as to how God has allowed me to find a place of effective service for the closing years of my life.
Several years ago I made a choice to work under the oversight of Mike Betts and his relational Mission team in the New Frontiers family of churches.

A hard decision

It was a hard decision since for more than 20 years I had poured myself into and built the Life Links family of churches, and I had hoped to retain meaningful relations with most of the players involved into that movement.

Of course, my actions were not understood by all and as a result I found myself cut off from many special friendships in response to my choice. A sad truth, but one we have learned to live with.

However, the choice I made has had so many positive outcomes in our family life and in the lives of individuals and churches that I now regularly minister to. As a Kingdom strategy I have proved it over and over to be the leading of God.

Prophetic release

In these years working with New Frontiers, I have seen so many wonderful things happen. There has been such a great response to the prophetic word that has been translated into action. New churches have been planted, individuals released to ministries, buildings located and clear church strategies revealed, making all more effective in their penetrations of the community.

I have a file at home called “it came to pass” where I record those exciting events where we have seen God intervene on behalf of churches and personal prophetic words we have given.

The thrill of seeing churches actually go beyond acknowledging prophetic words and instead setting out to pursue them as though they were from God is so gratifying. The icing on the cake is to see those that have call and prophetic anointing also begin to come into their own in ministry, alongside me.

New ministries released

In the 1990’s some made decisions that travelling ministries were a thing of the past and had no future in the unfolding plan of God. Therefore, attempting to reproduce traveling prophetic ministries was not well looked on. However, my own convictions led in other directions. Finance was always the problem but today we are seeing God provide unique financial supplements to release ministries.

Now I am seeing the fruits of my labours come into view. Firstly, I saw my son Jeremy released, in well received prophetic ministry in the Orient, North America and UK and in Europe. Whislt he is currently giving himself to church planting in Lethbridge. there are still regular invitations to bring prophetic ministry elsewhere.

Now this week I have again had the joy of walking with Raymond Bergin , my son in law, and Mike Bollinger my nephew, as their ministry now finds excited reception here in UK, Northern Europe, USA the Orient and of course, at home in Canada. To see them so well received and used in New Frontiers is indeed a joy for me.

Not only does this thrill me personally, but I realize too that there is a growing pool of ministry that is flooding into willing churches. My own ministry becomes supplemented and helped by others who in turn encourage others who have similar calls. Many of these will surpass me soon and yet others will seek us out in Lethbridge as a place to receive training and mentoring, and go on to great things in God.
